The Starlights Cheer Program Standards 

Welcome to Starlights Cheer. We pride ourselves on building elite athletes through discipline, safety, and a "team-first" mentality. Below is an overview of our program policies 

• Starlights Cheer programs are designed as full-season commitments. Regular attendance at practices, competitions, performances, and team events is essential for athlete development, routine safety, and team success.

• All Starlights Cheer teams travel to some extent during the season, including local and regional events, with possible out-of-state competitions depending on the team. Travel is an important part of the cheer experience and allows athletes to perform, grow, and represent Starlights Cheer beyond our local community.

• Participation in Starlights Cheer includes financial obligations such as registration fees, tuition, uniforms, competition fees, and travel expenses. Families should be prepared to meet these responsibilities as part of their commitment to the program.

• The BAND app is our primary method of communication for schedules, updates, and team information. Families are expected to regularly check BAND to stay informed throughout the season.

• To maintain a focused and safe training environment, athletes are encouraged to practice independently. Parents and spectators are asked to respect coaching boundaries and designated viewing areas during practices.

• We value sportsmanship and respect at all events. Parents and spectators are expected to support all athletes in a positive and respectful manner and help create an encouraging environment for everyone involved.

• Team placement, positions, and roles are determined by the coaching staff based on evaluations, skill level, safety, and team needs. Placement may evolve throughout the season as athletes grow and develop.

• As our program continues to grow, schedules, team structures, and events may be adjusted to best support athlete development and overall program success. Families will always be informed of significant updates in advance.
