Your Sneak Peak at Season 3!
We offer three distinct programs based on age and commitment level:
Twyla (Competitive NA Level 1 Limited): Ages 5–11.
Nova (Competitive NA Level 1): Ages 12–18.
Lyra (Adult Exhibition): Ages 18+.
We believe in the "Student-Athlete" first.
Nova athletes must maintain no more than two Ds or Fs. Twyla athletes are expected to show consistent effort and positive behavior in the classroom.
A valid sports physical must be submitted before the first practice.
Nova athletes should be able to perform a toe touch, cartwheel, forward/backward rolls, and a standing backbend. Front/back walkovers are preferred.
No. At Starlights, every season is a fresh start. All athletes (new and returning) undergo evaluations annually. We place athletes in roles (flyer, base, etc.) and on teams based on their current skill level, growth, and the safety needs of the routine.
We are a year-round program. Our season officially runs from May through April, concluding with our end-of-year banquet.
Nova: 3 days a week
Twyla: 2 days a week
Lyra: 2 days a week
Please note: Additional practices may be added during competition weeks.
We provide a holiday calendar with scheduled studio closures (Summer, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks). We strongly advise families to travel during these times.
Summer Training: If you must travel during summer training, a Vacation Request Form must be submitted by before the current season ends.
Absence Limits: All other absences count toward the seasonal limit (10 for Nova; 12 for Twyla/Lyra).
Upon joining, there is a $50 non-refundable Registration Fee to secure your spot. Following registration, the Gear Fee (which covers the full uniform and apparel package) is $450 for Nova / $250 for Twyla and Lyra.
Starlights Cheer has a strict No-Refund Policy for all fees and tuition. Because we commit to gear and competition fees early, athletes who withdraw or are dismissed mid-season are subject to a $500 buyout fee, and any ordered gear remains the property of the program.
Are there refunds if we leave early?
No. Starlights Cheer maintains a strict No-Refund Policy. The $50 Registration Fee, Gear Fees, and Monthly Tuition are non-refundable. Additionally, athletes who do not complete the season forfeit their gear; it will be withheld by the program and no refunds will be issued.
To ensure athlete focus and safety, Nova practices are closed to the public. Parents of Twyla athletes are permitted to stay and observe from the designated viewing area.
